Philosophically Challenged

Jonah: I am fast coming to the conclusion that there are two kinds of human

beings–those who can read philosophy and get something out of it, and those

who can’t. I am firmly in the latter camp. I

think I even have a quick’n’easy test so readers can figure out which

category they belong to. The test is St Anselm’s proof of the existence of

God. If you can read

through that, step away, have a cup of coffee, hold a conversation about

sport or politics, and then, an hour later, repeat the main line of St

Anselm’s argument correctly, you are a philosophy geek.
