Ileana Talks Castro, Cuba, and Life

When Fidel Castro died, I wanted to talk to a few people in particular — including Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, the veteran congresswoman from Miami. She is one of my favorite people in public life (and in life). And she started out in Cuba. Her family fled the island when she was eight. They expected to be away for a very short period — days, weeks . . .

The congresswoman and I have done a podcast, a Q&A. We talk about the past, present, and future. Her parents did not live to see the death of Fidel Castro. But she certainly is thinking about them.
