When you’ve recovered from celebrating John Milton’s 400th birthday, start getting ready for Robert Burns’ 250th on January 25th.
For the commemorative dinner, you might want to get your haggis in early. I get mine from a place in New Jersey, but there are haggis suppliers all over. I strongly advise you to avoid the canned stuff. A five-pounder is about right for a family of four. Slice up what you don’t eat and freeze it as little hockey pucks. They make great quick snacks.
What’s that? It’s a poem you’re wanting? Glad to oblige.
