Today on Uncommon Knowledge, President Vaclav Klaus of the Czech Republic reflects on the twenty years since the fall of Communism.
The first post-communist decade was a very positive decade. The second is much worse. We are, all of us, reintroducing socialism, reintroducing government intervention in all fields. It is not mostly because of social policy ideas, but is because of many other politically correct ideas. The environment is one of the issues – the global warming debate is a disaster, which could lead us to a very controlled system.
