Gee, and I thought the question was: Should we give up on gay marriage in order to revive the GOP, not should the GOP give up on every other issue? Silly me.
On a more serious note: There was a special election for a seat that turned into a referendum on gay marriage. I’ll let you know what I find out. It’s a first test of how well the current gay-marriage push is playing in New England.
But the fact that the Democratic governor of New Hampshire came out against gay marriage tends to vindicate Rudy Guiliani’s political judgment on the first question.
