Poll: Gingrich Candidate Highest Percentage of Republicans View as ‘Acceptable’

Results from a Gallup poll of Republicans and Republican leaning-independents show that the percentage who view Newt Gingrich as an acceptable nominee is 62 percent, Mitt Romney 54 percent, Rick Perry 41 percent, Michele Bachmann and Herman Cain 37 percent, Ron Paul 34 percent, Jon Huntsman 28 percent, and Rick Santorum 27 percent.

The percentage who view Santorum and Paul as unacceptable nominees is 62 percent, Cain and Huntsman 58 percent, Bachmann 56 percent, Perry 52 percent, Romney 41 percent, and Gingrich 34 percent.
