Republican Senate nominee Joni Ernst leads Representative Bruce Braley (R., Iowa) by seven points, according to the Des Moines Register’s final poll of the race.
“This race looks like it’s decided,” said J. Ann Selzer, the paper’s pollster. Ernst leads 51–44.
NBC’s Luke Russert noted that Ernst is “actually polling better on the issue of who cares more about people like me. That is something Democrats ordinarily do better on than Republicans.”
