Population

Fortunately I missed the debate over Andrew’s shocking revelation that he is a neo-Malthusian worrier. But, just to clarify for my own edification, Andrew do you A) really think that the ageing of the advanced Western democracies isn’t a problem? B) Do you really think that the global “overpopulation” problem is a first world problem just as much as a third world problem? I’m entirely capable of being sympathetic to the proposition that we might have too many people in the world, but if that’s the case, isn’t the problem that we have too many people in societies incapable of caring for them? I’m just not clear what your objection is?
