Today marks four years since the Dobbs decision. May I make a simple request? Can we please stop killing children and hurting women? The left has been insistent that any regulation on abortion equates to danger for women. And sometimes if you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes reality.
Yesterday, I wrote about the cruel attacks against Congresswoman Kat Cammack (R., Fla.) regarding her candid testimony about hospital malpractice: She’s pro-life, even though she once wound up in a Florida emergency room because of an ectopic pregnancy. The first news story I saw right after I wrote about Cammack was about a woman who is suing Texas hospitals for allegedly not treating her adequately when she experienced a miscarriage and infection.
There is nothing in Texas law that forces hospitals to mistreat women. Pro-abortion propaganda is purposefully misleading and causing fear and confusion. Abortion already ends a life — that of the unborn child. Now, women are needlessly harmed because of the lies of those who seek abortion on demand.
Such cruel radicalism is not and never has been the mood of the nation. My position isn’t either. But if we deal with facts — and perhaps the science that we can clearly see on sonograms — this will be a healthier country: safer for the unborn and not terrifying for women.
