Taking a break from convention news I perused the Washington Post Style section this morning. Wasting one’s breath perhaps, but the mainstreaming of porn just continues to astound me. Here’s an item about a former porn “actress”:

A baby is on the way for former adult-film actress Jenna Jameson ,34, and her boyfriend of two years, mixed martial arts fighter Tito Ortiz ,33. Jameson confirmed the news to Us Weekly, adding: “I think I’m gonna stay unmarried and just go for the babies! I’m following in Angelina [Jolie]‘s footsteps!”
Imagine that! A porn star who doesn’t believe in the sanctity of marriage. This is an appropriate gossip item for a leading daily newspaper? It’s a small thing perhaps, but someone should toll a tinny little bell for each new slide toward total decadence.
