POTUS to Solve Problem of Bureaucracy, Once and For All

The president today announced he would be raising undecided independent voters — er, rather, the Small Business Administration — to cabinet level, and stated his intention to combine several trade and commerce agencies into a single entity in the name of reducing bureaucratic red tape.

I always get a bit irked when Democrats rail against bureaucracy, as if the connection between regulatory excesses/inefficiencies and their entire view of government were purely accidental. To wit, here is President Obama, signer of the Affordable Care Act and Dodd-Frank, saying today that not only does he favos a government both”leaner” and “smarter” but that he ran on that in 2008.
