I just wanted to let you know that it’s refreshing to see you two debating issues instead of trading insults. I’m a conservative but I believe civil discourse and political opposition is required in a democracy lest it turn into mob rule.
When I mentioned to my mother-in-law once that I like to check out National Review and The New Republic she thought I was just listening to the fringe on each side. Now the people who write for these publications seem to be unique in their ability to talk with folks on the other side of the aisle with some respect.
