Predictions 2010

Here’s what will happen:

Republicans will win control of the House, picking up 56 seats.

Republicans will gain 8 Senate seats. States flipping from D to R will include: Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Nevada, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Conservative favorite Marco Rubio will prevail in Florida. So will Joe Miller in Alaska, Rand Paul in Kentucky, and Rob Portman in Ohio. Republicans Carly Fiorina of California, Christine O’Donnell of Delaware, John Raese of West Virginia, and Dino Rossi of Washington will come up short–though it wouldn’t astonish me to see Rossi pull off an upset. His victory would give GOP senators a ninth seat, assuming my other predictions hold up, which of course they will.
