President Bush Doing Well after Heart Surgery

President George W. Bush underwent a successful coronary-stent procedure today in at the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, one day after doctors found a blockage in an artery during his annual physical.

Bush is expected to leave the hospital tomorrow and resume his normal schedule on Thursday; he is said to be in “high spirits” and eager to return home. 

President Bush’s medical history has not included heart troubles, but it does contain several cycling accidents. (He also once fainted after choking on a pretzel.)
