Primary Changes

I knew I’d get a few small things wrong in yesterday’s brokered convention piece. Here is one of them: Massachusetts just recently adopted a proportional primary system, one of the campaigns has informed me. They have scrapped the winner-take-all system that I thought was still in effect. This will mean a split of the state’s 40 delegates on Feb. 5 (not March 4, they just changed it), rather than an easy Romney win.

Here’s another mistake, of less consequence: New York is now winner-take-all. (This doesn’t really change any of the math in my piece, though, since I just assumed Rudy would get all 101 delegates.)

So far, these are the only things I am certain were incorrect. Some state parties may make last-minute changes, too. I will post further if I find out more…
