I know little and care less about Destiny Herndon-De La Rosa’s career, the subject of two references in the op-ed Alexandra DeSanctis critiques today. I do know something that the op-ed ignores in claiming that there is a pro-life case for voting for Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke: He has co-sponsored legislation to overturn the Hyde amendment, the four-decade-old prohibition on federal Medicaid funding of elective abortions. Go ahead and make the pro-life case for direct federal funding of abortion; you’ll certainly get points for contrarianism.
