The Smear of Gina Haspel

It was taken as gospel truth the last couple of days that Gina Haspel had overseen the interrogation of Abu Zubaydah. It seemed to be wrong, as I noted yesterday. Now ProPublica has retracted its story about her role in the Zubaydah interrogation. Good. Let’s hope this is a step toward her getting a factual hearing where hysteria doesn’t overwhelm due consideration of her extensive and impressive career.
