Proliferation Nightmare

The article headlined on Drudge today, “Six Arab states join rush to go nuclear ,”

foretells disaster for the world, and above all for the United States.  I’ve written about this problem in “Our Fallout Shelter Future ,”  from getting the bomb, whether militarily, or by the sort of joint economic sanctions that would hurt the West’s own economy before they might work.  Now maybe all this is politically difficult or impossible to do.  Even a military assault could fail.  But like it or not, easy or hard, the sad fact of the matter is that permitting Iran to go nuclear spells disaster for the world, and for this country.
