Over the years, people have asked me, “Are you any relation to Rachel Noerdlinger,” Sharpton’s longtime communications chief? The answer is no, not by blood. But I wish I were. She’s as lovely as they come. For at least ten years, we’ve called each other “Sister Rachel” and “Brother Jay.” Moreover, she has quite sensible views, on society and culture.
