Put Away the Etch-A-Sketch: Term II, Obama Unleashed

This is an instructional moment, overheard from a conversation between our president and Dmitri Medvedev in South Korea today: 

OBAMA: “On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved but it’s important for him to give me space.”

MEDEVED: “Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you –”

OBAMA: “This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.”

MEDVEDEV: “I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir.”

Considering some of the things he has managed this term (why we are parked outside SCOTUS today, why Catholic bishops have a rare unanimity), can you imagine? I rather we not get to see …
