A Question for Elena Kagan

“Ma’am” — or whatever they’ll call her during the hearings — “you characterized our policy for the military of ‘Don’t ask, don’t tell’ as ‘a moral injustice of the first order.’ What, in your view, is a moral injustice of the second order? The third? And if ‘Don’t ask, don’t tell’ is a moral injustice of the first order, where would you place, say, slavery, or human trafficking?”

P.S. I know, I know, if she’s like Barbara Boxer — and how could she not be, really? — don’t call her “ma’am.”

P.P.S. Wouldn’t it be nice to defeat Boxer this November, if only on grounds of her incredible conceitedness?
