What happens when the school year is over?
According to the Columbia academic calendar, the final-exam period ends on May 10, and commencement is on May 15. After that, most students would ordinarily go home for the summer.
Israel’s military operations are unlikely to have concluded by then, and the protests are about more than the military operations anyway, having become protests against Zionism in general. The Zionist state of Israel will still exist after May 15.
Will the students forgo their summer to continue camping out at Columbia? Or does this supposed genocide only matter during the school year?
