A Question for Military Experts

I’m not interested, generally, in defending Trump, but there is one very specific talking point against him that I’ve seen all over the Internet this weekend, and I’m very skeptical about it. I have seen a bunch of people who say they’re horrified by the Trump/Billy Bush video assert the following basic point: Even soldiers in foxholes don’t talk that dirty.

My first instinct is to call BS on that, because I heard exactly that sort of talk, and worse, at the Catholic boys’ school I attended way back in the Seventies. Perhaps some military experts could address this question: Soldiers and Navy folks are traditionally renowned for their salty language; are they really less vulgar than 1970s Catholic schoolboys were?
