Race & The South Update

Rick Perlstein sends me an email to clarify that he doesn’t in fact support demonizing the South so much as report on Schaller’s advocacy of same. You can read up on Schaller at his website. Also, Matt Yglesias, Ross Douthat, Reihan Salem and Peter Suderman have some interesting insights (though say goodbye to the rest of the weekend if you plan on reading Reihan’s whole post).

I leave it to someone else to summarize and settle the debate(s).
