Race Tied in Ohio

Mitt Romney and President Obama are both at 47 percent in a new Suffolk University poll of Ohio likely voters. Partisan breakdown is unusually close: 39 percent Democrat, 35 percent Republican, and 27 percent independent.

Both Romney and Obama have favorability ratings of 50 percent. Obama’s unfavorability rating (46 percent) is a point higher than Romney’s (46 percent).

Among those who have already cast their vote, Obama has a 13-point lead, but it’s a tiny sample: It includes only 120 voters.

Interestingly, Romney’s momentum seems to have nothing to do with the second debate: 52 percent think Obama won that, while only 37 percent think Romney did.
