Racism Everywhere

Geraghty writes in response to some twaddle at TPM:

If Obama becomes president, I will wish him well in protecting the country. But I fear that for at least four years, the president’s disapproval rating would be widely described as the new National Racism Index. 

Why stop there? Shouldn’t we call the pro-McCain numbers in the polls racist. So we could have the Gallup Daily Racism Tracking Poll. “Racism is up over 50% today…” We could just call Republicans “self-indentified racists” and so on. 

Now, of course, you couldn’t call the Obama numbers the sexist vote, because that would be stupid.
