New York is getting absolutely plastered by a rainstorm today. Up to six inches of rain is expected. There are absolutely gobsmacking pictures of flooded downtown streets and waterlogged subway stations circulating already.
It’s not been quite as bad up in the burbs where I am. But there’s part of me that wishes modern life weren’t so easy to conduct across computers. This is a day when kids and dad should be napping and enjoying the patter of rain on the roof, submitting to the rest that nature is trying to impose on us.
