The Corner

Ramesh — a promise

I will write that long promised defense of Rudy early next week — just as soon as I take my first final exam in 20 odd years. The exam, in a class on War, Peace and Strategy, given by the formidable Professor Richard Betts — whose current Foreign Affairs article had such a powerful effect on Derb’s choice of candidates — is based on the 3000 pages of reading assigned these last 14 weeks.

Let me just say that that much reading — some fascinating, some a bit dense — has not been easy, what with three kids, each of whom seemed to desperately need help with homework whenever they saw me pick up a book — and general adult responsibilities. So, anything other than reading this weekend is pure procrastination.
