Rand Paul Likely To Help Steve Lonegan

Senator Rand Paul may be in the news for sparring with New Jersey governor Chris Christie, but he’s considering helping another New Jersey Republican in the near future: GOP senate nominee Steve Lonegan.

Paul has met with Lonegan, and is weighing an endorsement.

“We’re considering trying to help him out,” Paul tells National Review Online in an interview.

“In all likelihood, we’ll go in and either financially or try to help him through an endorsement or something,” Paul adds. “He just won the endorsement recentlyand we’d like to try to help him.”
