Yesterday’s speech by President Obama was entitled “Protecting Our Security and Our Values.”
From the title, one might reasonably expect that approximately 40-60% of the speech would be devoted to how the administration is protecting Americans. Instead, 90% of the speech was devoted to protecting the rights of alleged terrorists.
That’s fine, but not consistent with the title, nor, I suspect, how heavily the respective issues weigh on the minds of Americans.
