While passing a Coptic Christian church, a vehicle with a “COEXIST” bumper sticker bearing an array of symbols representative of the world’s major religions (in addition to a peace sign). In less than two minutes we passed a Byzantine Catholic church, a Russian Orthodox church, and a Baptist church, as well as a Jehovah’s Witnesses Hall. Within a short drive were at least one mosque, a synagogue, and several other churches of various denominations. Curiously, not seen in the immediate vicinity were any violent militias toward which the bumper sticker might be directed.
