re: American Carol

An e-mail from the sunshine state:

My wife and I saw An American Carol this afternoon.  This is the first movie I’ve seen at a theater since The Simpsons.  My wife wore her new McCain/Palin shirt, purchased at a local outfit called The Passionate Patriot (www.passionate-patriot.com) here in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and got a lot of “Hey, nice shirt!” comments.  I wasn’t sure what to expect, fully, from the movie.  I went expecting a comedy, and I wasn’t disappointed, but there were a few scenes that I did not expect.  The most arresting was the George Washington section … I would recommend An American Carol to anyone and everyone, but most especially to those who have gone a little wobbly on the war on Islamic terrorism or who are contemplating either sitting out this election, voting for Obama, or throwing away their vote on Nader. …

Oh, and as soon as I got home I stuck a McCain/Palin sign out in the yard.
