Re: Arianna’s Love Affair

Kathryn, re that McCain-told-me-he-didn’t-vote-for-Bush thing, here’s how the Washington Post report ends:

Asked why Huffington would make up her story about McCain not voting for Bush, longtime McCain aide Mark Salter — who has previously tangled with the Huffington Post — ripped into her. “Why would she make something up? Because she’s a flake, and a poser, and an attention seeking diva. And that’s on the record.”

I’d be more impressed by this “straight talk” if it wasn’t just as obvious in July 2000 that Arianna was “a flake, and a poser, and an attention seeking diva”, when Senator McCain agreed to appear as the keynote speaker at her flaky attention-seeking posers’ “shadow convention” (shadowing the GOP one, that is).

Incidentally, yesterday Rush played a hilarious clip of Arianna on CNN denouncing “Operation Chaos” and the “instructions he has given to his Dittoheads” in her fabulous Greek accent, and observed that she sounded like Blofeld’s mistress in a Bond film explaining the secret plot to 007. Very true.
