I’ve actually been surprised by some of the supplies I’ve encountered in the nation’s capital. One’s closest Giant may be bare, but there is a Walgreens or a Trader Joe’s out there with actual fresh bread and eggs. It’s a very treacherous walk or drive without a monster SUV, but thank heavens that — generally speaking — our hardships aren’t all that hard, all things considered.
