VDH, I’m afraid your post reminded me of Howard Dean’s words — uttered shortly before he became chairman of the Democratic National Committee. “I hate the Republicans and everything they stand for.” And “this” — meaning politics at large — “is a struggle of good and evil. And we’re the good.” In his 2004 convention speech, Obama was a different kind of Democrat. Today — he’s just like the rest of them, really. Like the worst of them.
