When it comes right down to it, an astute viewer notes, Fouad Ajami and Mark Steyn are altogether on the same side:

Peter: What a powerful ending to the Ajami interview. The striking part is that his point that the Muslim world does not respect “those that trash their own” is actually the take-home message of “America Alone”: that a self-deprecating West is ill-equipped to deal with a confident Islam; that it’s not about them, but about us; etc. So I think Mr. Ajami agrees with Mark more than he might realize.
