Phil, I’m inclined to believe that it isn’t deliberate and isn’t even a sign of age (although the muttering yesterday was a little weird), but just Biden being Biden. I didn’t have many interactions with him when he was in the Senate. I do remember, though, once asking him an unwelcome question in a Capitol hallway scrum. He made it clear in his response — not in a nasty way, mind you — that he thought I was an idiot. This is just who he is. I don’t think it’s worth getting the vapors over, but it is notable that journalists and the Left treated it as somehow a threat to the very existence of the free press when Trump did the same kind of thing.
