If Chris Christie understands how Sandy and the hundreds of thousands of commuters it has still left stranded on the wrong side of the river points to the need for better infrastructure investment in our area, including a new rail tunnel for taxpayers whose trips are miserable even on a good day; and if he executes such investment competently and directs the rest of rebuilding competently enough; and if he dials back a bit on the public-speaking style so as not to scare the ladies (he’s already done a bit of this), then he will be fine.
