I just wanted to note that it was McCain, not Kyl, who got the letter out of Obama. I know from personal experience that Kyl never took the lead or wanted to take the lead on missile defense. He was only interested in the modernization issue, which he handled brilliantly. McCain has been the one pushing on missile defense.
