Re: Conservatives and Problems

To add to my brother (not literally) Yuval Levin’s post, what “problems” have liberalism “solved?” To listen to the Left, no amount of government or resources seems to solve the problems they perpetually pose. And why is that? Could it be that human-beings are imperfect? Could it be that some or many of the problems we face are caused or extended by liberalism? Liberals make promises — often wild promises — about ending this or creating that, but their record is quite poor. It has to be poor. Otherwise, we wouldn’t need more government, or a lot more government, now would we? There is much more to say on this topic, but not here.
