Coral reefs have been around for 500 million years, according to my research. That means they’ve survived through periods with much higher temperatures and atmospheric CO2 concentrations than today. Nature adapts, often very quickly. To my mind, bottom trawling encouraged by government fishing policies is a far greater danger to the reefs than changes in weather patterns.
