Re: Doing Deeds In

An e-mail:

Kathryn,

I live in Southwest Virginia near the Tennessee border and I have to say that much of the current Democratic candidate’s problem is people like Terry McAuliffe. To them, Virginia is only a state as far as the D.C. suburbs extend. All of those “other people” who make up the other 60-70% of the state aren’t important. The hubris and arrogance of the D.C. elite who presume that they “understand” Virginians and know what is best for us is so infuriating. Central and Southwest Virginia are not the Beltway, not by any stretch of the imagination.
