Jonah, I assume the difference is that Bill & the Weather gang weren’t terrorists — they were, quoth the professor, merely engaged “in extreme vandalism directed at monuments to war and racism, and the attacks on property, never on people, were meant to respect human life” … except, y’know, for that unfortunate time with the bombs that were designed to rip through the flesh of those American soldiers and their dates (but ended up killing the would-be, um, vandals).
