re: Gas Prices

I got this great, bittersweet e-mail from Cathy Seipp’s good friend, Moxie:

Our much loved, late friend Cathy Seipp used to talk with glee about when the cheapest gas prices reached 5 bucks a gallon.

She was so confident that someone smart would step up, people would drive less and we’d see some sea change.

Here in Los Angeles, the 5 buck mark is a few nickels and dimes away.

How much would you pay per word to read what Cathy would write about these clowns we have proposing foolish solutions?

I’d pay far more per word than I do for a gallon of gas.

I don’t think a week goes by when I do not think about some news story, “that would make a great Cathy Seipp column.” I do miss Cathy.
