John, you ask (wink, wink) what ghetto dwellers I have surreptitiously referenced who have not benefited from American freedoms to the extent that immigrants have. Why, I am talking about the other major demographic that Republicans and conservatives have stupidly written off: Blacks. I spent two years of my adolescence living in East St. Louis, Illinois as part of an otherwise all-Black jazz band. There, I got a major gutcheck on the horrors and the glories of African American culture in America. It’s rather too long a story for the Corner. But if you want to know what I, along with Star Parker, Herman Cain, and other Black conservatives, chose to do in lieu of jawboning about the futility of soliciting minority votes, go here.
