Mark: It is remarkable how “unscientific” the global warming hysteria community’s reaction has been to the stalling of global warming. Warming caused by human activities should be considered a hypothesis. The failure of the computer models that were based on this hypothesis–in a proper application of the scientific method–would cause researchers to revisit the hypothesis itself. But that doesn’t appear to be the approach. Instead, we see all kinds of excuses being made as to why the facts on the ground haven’t met the projections. That isn’t science. It is politics. Indeed, it is a corruption of science, which undermines the public’s trust in the entire enterprise.
This much is sure: Global warming hysterics can’t claim any longer that it is a “fact,” requiring the “debate to be over.” Well, they can, I suppose. But who, beyond our intrepid POTUS, will take them seriously?
