I agree with Fred. In April, I spoke with George F. Will about instant replay:

Since the 2009 playoffs, where instant replay was used in a few situations, it has gained some serious support from a handful of baseball executives and fans. “It’ll probably be used to determine if a ball was fair or foul, but it’ll stop there—no balls, strikes or plays at the bases. The problem is that everyone has instant replay except the people in the stands, and even they can see it when they’re waiting in line for hot dogs. Yet someone has to make the case that imperfection and uncertainty are part of the business,” Mr. Will says.

Indeed.
