If you are a pro-life Catholic who happens to be in New York City on October 18th, you could attend the Al Smith dinner and catch The Scourge of Religious Liberty’s photo-op kiss-up with the hierarchy of Holy Mother Church. Or, you could spend that evening at the Union League Club honoring James Buckley, the pro-life movement’s first political champion, at the annual dinner for the Human Life Foundation, publishers of the glorious Human Life Review. The former senator, author of the first Human Life Amendment introduced in Congress, and retired federal judge will be receiving the Great Defender of Life award. Most deservedly.
