Kathryn, since you and Peter Dans raise the subject of Holiday Inn, the film that introduced “White Christmas” to the world, I thought I’d mention that I have a little podcast up featuring me and Irving Berlin’s daughter discussing her dad’s great song. (Mary Ellin plays it for me on her father’s piano.) Without giving too much away, Christmas Day was a very painful day for Irving Berlin, which makes his gift to the world of “White Christmas” all the more remarkable.
