Re: Ivy League Progressives

From a reader:

Hi Jonah,

Longtime reader, first time emailer.  I saw your post on Anne Applebaum’s column and just wanted to rant about Ivy League stereotyping.  I was an engineering undergrad at Harvard and I’m now at Harvard Law.  Being a real conservative or libertarian here requires a lot more dedication than anyone gives us credit for.  I had to argue with Elizabeth Warren about economic liberty in Contracts.  I had to argue for natural rights against Alan Dershowitz in Criminal Law.  Every class, every discussion is stacked against us.  And the only thanks we ever seem to get from conservative writers is to be rhetorically roped in with the people we spend all our time arguing against.  Once in a while, it would be nice to have someone point out that not every Ivy Leaguer is a statist Obamaphile.

Oh, and here are some of the latest reviews.
